What year was your business founded/established? Thompson Prawn Farm was established in 2006.

What made you decide to open your business?  At the start of business tobacco production was reducing and Thompson needed something new.

What makes your business unique? Thompson Prawn Farm is the only fresh water prawn producer west of Interstate 95.

What do you wish your local neighbors (potential customers) knew about your business?  We would like the public to know that we have a really good clean and healthy product.

What are your next goals for your business (any exciting expansion plans or new product/services)? In the near future we plan on a hatchery and nursery, along with a processing  plant ,and start raising prawn inside year round. It will create 3 to 4 full time jobs for the community. It will also increase the sustainable locally grown seafood for restaurants  in the state.

If someone were to give you $100,000 to invest in your business, how would you spend it? It would be placed toward the construction of the hatchery and nursery, and the processing plant.

What do you enjoy most about doing business in Orange County?  The people, it is such a joy to work with the people here in Orange County and  all the businesses that we do business with.
