Orange County Small Business Loan Program Provides Funding to Hillsborough Gymnastics Company

After spending much time and effort looking for just the right facility for their growing gymnastics company, Tim and Jessica Baker were thrilled to finally find the perfect location in Hillsborough.  And, just in time to share in the excitement sure to be created by the 2012 London Olympics!

Orange County Gymnastics ( is just the type of business the County’s Small Business Loan Fund was created to help – a small company with local owners who are very much interested in becoming an active member of the community.  Their new temporary location, at 610 Meadowlands Drive in Hillsborough, is conveniently located near the SportsPlex and currently offers Summer Camps and Classes.  Orange County Gymnastics will operate at this location while the up fit of their new 9,600 square foot gym is being completed, just across the street.  This final location, at 505 Meadowlands Drive, will allow Orange County Gymnastics to offer a variety of opportunities for gymnasts of all ages – from tumbling for toddlers to competitive teams.   Other events include Family Fun Days, birthday parties, track out camps, and Parent’s Night Out.  Look for a Grand Opening Event later this summer!

Orange County’s Director of Economic Development, Steve Brantley states that “All of Orange County and the Hillsborough area are fortunate to have this exciting new gymnastics facility locate here.”  Led by long-time local residents and gymnastics instructors, Tim and Jessica Baker, Orange County Gymnastics will enable local youth to learn and perfect their athletic abilities.  “The Orange County Economic Development team is proud to see its Small Business Loan Program help bring this super business to the northern part of the County.  This is great news, and perfect timing with respect to the excitement sure to be generated by the upcoming Summer Olympics,” Brantley added.

Orange County’s Loan Program is a revolving loan fund designed to foster small business development and the expansion of local companies that may have limited access to conventional financing.  This program is open to small businesses located in Orange County with gross revenues of less than $3 million.  The program is managed through the County’s Economic Development office and administered by a volunteer Board of Directors composed of local business owners, bankers and staff representing several Orange County departments.
